Happy Birthday to Logicool

September 2013, LOGICOOL celebrated their 5th Birthday. Following MD Karl Richardson being made redundant by his previous employer due to the impending recession of that year. Karl, backed by his wife of 16 years, Gill, approached Hitachi with regards to potential vacancies and was instead asked by the then UK Sales Manager, Paul Kingswell, if he was interested in signing a reseller agreement instead. Property was remortgaged and all of Karl and Gill’s savings and security were ploughed into an uncertain future as the UK entered the world recession and the start of lost summers and cold winters.

Five years later, following many high points (and numerous low points!), LOGICOOL is a thriving and well established business with a turnover approaching £4m and a growing reputation in the industry.

Despite the turnover LOGICOOL have also achieved five years of net profitability, outstripping most competitors in this area.

LOGICOOL are UK leading resellers of Hitachi. We are the only major UK spares stockholder with 50% of our total £120k stockholding of Units and Spares dedicated to this. We are also an established Value Added Reseller for Mitsubishi Electric. The recent addition of Panasonic has seen LOGICOOL emerge with arguably the strongest product line up in the industry today.

The Five Year anniversary was a significant date for LOGICOOL. It followed our first and long overdue hot summer and was reward for many years of hard work and sacrifice from the two founders. It also sets the tone for the next five years during which LOGICOOL are set to make impressive leaps forward by building on, and improving our existing “stable base” and adding additional sales experience to our existing team.
